Sue,

I completelly agree. There are a number of Mr. Flaming Cavaliers that are torching talent. I believe they are doing this out of fear, resistance to change, and that they do not understand the principles of good leadership. They are under the philosophy of beating the horse to get it to run.
I have been resisting, challenging, teaching, and trying to extinguish the torch of Mr. Flaming Cavalier for the last four months. I lost the battle last week. However; I did not lose my integrity, energy, positive attitude, or my style of leadership to conform to the ways that I know our wrong. I will take this opportunity to open another door and continue to promote the style of leadership that you are constantly opening our eyes to.

Sue, Once again you've nailed it. Thanks for the reminder of how easy it can be to create high performance teams that achieve incredible results. Now I will heed your call to action by stepping away from my computer to find people doing something right and give them some recognition.

Cheers,

Coach Melone, WOW you nailed this one right on the head. Bobby Knight tells us that "the key is not having the will to win it's whether or not you have the will to prepare".

Thus the questions for all of us are:
Do you have the will to properly prepare your leaders?
Do your leaders have the will to properly prepare their teams?
What are you doing TODAY to prepare your leaders for tomorrow?
Which group are you in? the 80% waiting ....or the 20% who are taking action today?

Sue, once again you bring our attention to what matters most...setting intentions and then coaching in the moment to navigate up, over, around and beyond to create results. Brilliant.

kind of makes me think about being fierce... "while no single conversation is guaranteed to change the trajectory of a career, a company, a relationships or a life, any single conversation can"... you never know what that impact will be AND I submit, what you put out there does come back...
Sue,

Thank you for the reminder that even when we think that we are are on the road alone, we are not, and that every act of kindness, support or encouragement is more important than we may ever know. You are my hero.

Cheers,

Sue, your copy is sharp as ever. I love the way you paint a word picture by creating garden analogies. It makes me see things a little clearer, possibilites emerge, where I did not see them before.
Keep on blogging,

Experience the chills of engagement, that is my vote, every time. Just think, you are physically there, but mentally elsewhere??? Well, you really can't do anything about elsewhere while you are here, wheras you can loose a lot of good customers by being "checked out" while you are here. Sue is right on: Focus on the people here now, worry about elsewhere later :-)
